do i worry too much?

Many would say yes. But when i can't freak out about the big stuff because it's too much I worry the small stuff. At the moment friends I'm worried by the sticker on Bicks pickles which says:

"NEW name, SAME quality"
Yup Bicks will be changing their name to Globus to "align itself to other quality products". I dunno. Globus pickles used to be ok, good even, but they ain't no Bicks. Who's to say they won't start messing with my favourite pickles?

Meanwhile enjoy the pleasures of Mr Pickles:

you get a present when i get home, in a little over a week. which feels like a little over a year from this flu-ridden noosa vista. tonight, my parents cheered because i finally relented and said i'd drink with dinner. cheering the decision to mix wine with meds is a sign, it's a sign i tell you. also, i miss you esther. xx

forgive me if i'm being rude, but what's the point of you working every day if you never update your blog? i can only deal with not seeing real you if i get to see more of virtual you...

oh yeah, cos not seeing me has like, nothing to do with you being in another bloody state now does it? no it's all my fault for trying to go out and earn an honest crust so i can keep you in the style you've become accustomed to.

words mr price... we'll be having words.

oh i like chasing you around blogs!

so now it's only your paid labour that we're valuing? what about that cake i baked for you? or the lasagne i cooked and you ate? i guess that's not 'real work' to you is it? and just to think, when i was so close to moving in with you and sam...

I too was concerned with this pickle dilema, Polski Ogorki Bicks were my favorite pickles. The bicks name has now been stripped totally, Globus is now plastered on the red lid. I bought these new globus pickles and the quality is not as good, they are now made in india instead of mexico, the pickles are smaller, and taste different. Coles does not appear to even stock them anymore, they only seem to have sweet and sour which sucks arse. I am now eating some jewish brand of pickles which come in a can but they have too much garlic! damn bicks and damn globus!

Yes the Israeli pickles can be quite good... but garlicky it's true. It seems we need some kind of wake for Bick's - I'm sensing a lot of collective grief out there. I moved into a house which had a big jar of old Bick's in the fridge and they were so so good.. so crunchy, so perfect. Made even more so by knowing that there would be no more... I myself think that the Polish ones in the little barrel shaped jar may be my new regular pickle now.

Oh no!!!! That is sacrilege - all of my life Polski Ogorki Pickles have tasted a certain way - and I have gone through jars of Bicks' deliciousness - only to find that I can't find them any more, and the new replacement is a Product of India. Now I have found out why! I would join your petition and protest, should one be launched!
